Cold Compartment Management |
Cold Compartment Management e-METER, the innovative telematic system developed fully by our company, comes to offer a realistic and modern approach to control and safety issues in stationary (warehouses) and mobile (containers) storage spaces Description Assuring the quality of products susceptible to temperature fluctuations is the primary goal for the cold supply chain. The e-METER solution is the only solution that allows integrated cold chain management. The e-METER system is used for the HACCP verification of production, storage and transportation conditions and for effective management of emergency situations. Challenges Product quality assurance throughout the supply chain. Increased operating costs, often aggravated due to the transportation of unsuitable products. Facility maintenance costs. Maintaining company reputation. The solution The e-METER system consists of:
Temperature and humidity sensors that record product storage environmental conditions. Electrical supply is monitored according to energy supplies recorded by the PPC (Public Power Company) and according to the operation of the auxiliary generator. Cold chamber dehumidification and defrosting functions are recorded for the smooth operation of refrigeration facilities. For minimization of temperature losses, the opening of doors is monitored. The smooth operation of recording sensors is also monitored, and facilities are equipped with water detection sensors. Users connect to the Facility Monitoring Station over the internet/ intranet using a browser or via their mobile phone using WAP technology. The Facility Monitoring Station displays the plan view of the storage facilities, upon which sensor measurements are shown in real time. The system features measurement reports and alarms that warn selected users of abnormal storage conditions. Storage operation and condition reports include graphics representing fluctuations of the values recorded. Exception reports include the following information: deviation commencement, duration, marginal value, maximum deviation and average exception recording. Alarm reports include the following: Alarm manager, start and end of alarm, action taken, (who was notified, when and how). All reports can be exported in various formats for correlation with other business data. The Monitoring Station features a detailed emergency situation management system and programmable capacity to send alarms via e-mail, SMS, or via direct call to a mobile phone or land line and the ability to discern between working and non-working days and hours. The emergency situation management application is responsible for the hierarchical notification of company officials. The emergency situation management mechanism includes monitoring the handling of emergency situations by company officials. In the case of non-handling of an emergency situation, the station notifies the official next in the hierarchy. Benefits Companies that have installed and are using the e-METER system are ones that are involved in the storage and transportation of foods and pharmaceuticals and have ensured:
